The bond a few experience.
The ChainSpirits are the bond that only a few in Arc experience. In Arc, a ChainSpirit is simply a spirit: they carry no names of their own.
It is the spirit that chooses: it picks someone itself, and stays with them. The bond protects the one who was chosen.
For most people on Arc, spirits are only a legend. Those who share a bond know better.
